Neglected Red Supergiants
The following bright RSGs are in need of photometry. All are in the latest target file.
PEP Observer's Guide now in French
Due to another outstanding volunteer effort by Bernard Candela, we are now able to offer a French language translation of the Photoelectric Photometry Observer's Guide.
Many thanks once again Bernard!

SPECIAL ALERT NOTICE TO PEP OBSERVERS
In a recent letter from Dr. Richard Wade of the California Institute of Technology, he wrote:
Alert Notice PEP #00: Special Alert Notice to AAVSO Photoelectric Observers [2337+56 Nova Cassiopeiae 1993] [V705 Cas]
Note: This Notice was originally titled:
SPECIAL AAVSO ALERT NOTICE TO AAVSO PHOTOELECTRIC OBSERVERS
It has been given the somewhat odd name "Alert Notice PEP #00" in 2016 so it will fit in with the other special PEP Alert Notices created by Aaron Price in 2001-2004. Eventually all of these special PEP Alert Notices will be renamed to something more consistent with Alert and Special Notice procotols. EOW 5/5/2016

Alert Notice PEP #0: Multiwavelength monitoring of 2349+28 II Pegasi
October 4, 1991
Note: This Notice was originally titled:
SPECIAL AAVSO ALERT NOTICE TO PHOTOELECTRIC PHOTOMETRISTS MULTIWAVELENGTH MONITORING OF 2349+28 II PEGASI
It has been given the somewhat odd name "Alert Notice PEP #0" in 2014 so it will fit in with the other special PEP Alert Notices created by Aaron Price in 2001-2004. Eventually all of these special PEP Alert Notices will be renamed to something more consistent with Alert and Special Notice procotols. EOW 10/27/2014
PEPObs user guide
PEPObs was developed from legacy code used to reduce photoelectric photometry submitted to the AAVSO PEP program. We have retained most of the original fields for backwards compatibility with old PEP reports. What follows is a guide to fields in the online form with formatting instructions. In the examples, the quotes ("") should not be included.
Alert Notice 476: Multicolor photometry of triple system b Per requested
January 4, 2013: Dr. Bob Zavala (U.S. Naval Observatory, Flagstaff) has requested AAVSO assistance in obtaining multicolor photometry of the bright triple system b Per in order to prepare for and detect a possible eclipse of the AB components by the C component predicted for 2013 January 23. At 4.5V, b Per, which is also a radio source, is an excellent target for photoelectric photometrists and DSLR observers.
