Hello,

Why is it that in some of the AAVSO software tools, spacing is required between "HD" and the numbering (e.g., HD 119162), as in VSP and WebObs, for example, while in some tools, such as VSX, it doesn't matter?

Sometimes I get a "Star 'HD119162' could not be found in our database" error message if the spacing is missing when in fact such a star is in the AAVSO database, only with a slightly different name, 'HD 119162'.

Wouldn't it be better to make it indifferent, so that every AAVSO tool would accept either format, with or without the spacing?
