Error loading VStar

Hi All

Is anyone else getting the message below when they try to load VStar? I have the latest version of Java loaded but it does not like it.

Application Error

Unable to launch the application.

Name: VStar

Location: https://www.aavso.org

Of interest I could not go to the VStar Forum from the VStar page hyperlink. Is there a problem with the VStar Page?

Error loading VStar

Hi Robert,

I am not getting the error you see and everything seems to be working fine on my computer. I would be interested to hear if anyone else sees this problem. I do feel like I have seen this before, but I don't recall how I solved it.

Are you attempting to launch VStar by clicking on the blue "Download VStar Now" button on the VStar webpage? If so, do you then click "Open with..." or "Save file...". Or are you using a previously saved vstar.jnlp file? If so, how old is it? All of these methods should work, by the way, I am just trying to narrow things down.

Thank you for pointing out the broken links on the VStar webpage. I just fixed them.

Hi Sara

I have just been clicking on the "Download VStar Now" button and it opens. It does not go through a box asking for "Open With . . . " etc. it just asks

And I just click run.

Now you ask that I have been helping David Benn test his new B - V plug in. I wonder if I have altered the settings in my computer with the VSTar files.
