By now I'm sure you have heard about the security breach we recently experienced at the AAVSO. Fortunately, it does not look like any data was lost or personal information compromised. Financial data is not kept on our servers so that was never in danger.
As part of the cleanup operation, some programs that require database connections such as SunEntry, Seqplot, and Zapper have been temporarily disabled so that they can be made more secure. VStar can still be used but certain features and access to the AID has been disabled. We will re-release upgraded versions and let you know when we have done so as soon as practicable.
We very much appreciate your patience, support and understanding.
Sara
I just posted in this VStar forum topic to say that access to AID (and VSX) have been restored.
I can't comment on the other tools since I've only verified this with VStar.

Thanks for letting us know, please let us know when Seqplot is back on line.
Here is an update to my previous post..

The other aspect of VStar that doesn't work right now is the plug-in manager.
As Sara said, there'll be a release soon.

Another update to my previous post...
The software tools SunEntry, SeqPlot, and Zapper are now all fully back in operation. As mentioned elsewhere, VStar is also working except for the members-only BSM and APASS Epoch Photometry plugins which we plan to fix in the next release ...soon!
If anyone continues to experience problems with any of these handy software tools, please contact me (sara @ aavso.org) with details.
