I've only been pursuing an interest in variable stars for a short time, but I just wanted to say that the AAVSO website is quite well done. If I consider other professional/volunteer type organizations, the AAVSO's is easily one of the top ones. It's clean, attractive, intuitive, and incredibly useful in a myriad of ways, not the least of which is increasing my knowledge of and enjoyment of variable stars.
I manage several web sites and web applications at a large public university, so I am well familiar with the content and technical challenges that can go into seemingly innocuous things.
So to those of you involved in the web site, thanks for the hard work! It is noticed and appreciated.

Hi: I also love the website and the way it is set up so that you don't have to go round and round just to say something. I find that the subjects are professionally stated by the people who populate it Also, that is moderated and everyone just says what is nice. I just thought I would state my thoughts about this subject.Glad to see that someone else decided to say something nice about it and gives me a chance thank the staff for having it structured in this manner.
