Observers might like to try this new star on the YSO programme. It doesn't have a variable name yet, even though it's been known for some time. The current name comes from the Lick catalogue of H-alpha stars (not all of which are variable) and the star is at the centre of a double-fan nebula in the North of Orion called Cederblad 62. According to the Russian Astronomical Journal vol 73:194 the range is 11.6-13.0 so shouldn't be too difficult for modest scopes.
Please Note... a sequence has been produced, but please give Mike and the sequence team time to have a look at it first, and upload it to VSP!
Having been advised by Mike to do a search in VSX, it turns out that this star does have a variable name, NSV 2834. And Wolfgang Renz has pointed out that the journal name is incorrect. It should be
Astronomicheskij Zhurnal. Vol. 73, no. 2, pp. 194-202. Mar.-Apr. 1996 and full details are available at this page on Vizier. It turns out that there is a translation of the article at the ADS but the link does not seem to work, so try the Vizier link instead.
