GJ 436 not found in database search

Hi, I uploaded data on GJ 436 and got no errors or warnings. If I search on my code SAJB it finds the data. However, if I search on GJ 436 it's not included in the list. Also if I cut and paste the star name into the search on my code again it does not find it.

I assume I have made an error somewhere but I can't find it.

Thanks for any advice.

Regards Andrew

GJ 436 data check

Hi Andrew,

I'm going to email you off-list so we can discuss your data to find out what the problem is.

STAR HAT-P-16 not recognised

I have also found another strange behaviour. If I search for HAT-P-16 I get the error message "Star HAT-P-16 not recognised. However, mine and several other observes data has been passed to the NASA database and it is recognised by for example SIMBAD.

Hi Andrew,

Maybe I am misunderstanding the conditions under which you get the error. Let's take this offline and I will loop in George Silvis if necessary to help resolve. Can you email me a screen shot of your exoplanet database search user entries that produces the error. Email me directly at: dennis@astrodennis.com.

Thanks,

Dennis

Data base search problems.

My understanding from the offline discussion that this was a problem with RA and Dec coordinates being set in the database by the by database during upload.

It still seems to be present. Is there a timescale for fixing it as I would like to do some star based searches and the names are still returned as not a star.
