Hi,

I cannot access VPhot via the AAVSO web page. I am current in my membership, was logged into the web page at the time (I am able to comment in this forum), but when I try to log in it tells me I'm not a member?

Just some glitch probably.

Thanks,

John

Log Out and Back in?

John:

Try logging out of the aavso web page and then log back in. I have had this happen a couple of times. Who knows why? Just confused?

I also cannot log into VPhot in Safari

Hi Ken: I hope that all is well with you. You were my VPhot Choice Course  instructor serval years ago and I am still putting all that good knowledge to work. I am also having problems logging into VPhot in Safari. My membership is current and I have determined that I can log in on Chrome, but when I try using Safari, I receive an error message that I must be a member and logged in. I tried logging out a few times and logging back in to no avail. This started intermittently about a month ago, but now I can't seem to log in with Safari at all. I suspect that it is an Apple or Safari thing. I will just use Chrome if it continues, but it is quite frustrating. I thought that you should know about it. Thank you. John Hodge

Success

Thanks Ken, that did it. I had actually attempted to log-out but it wasn't readily apparent how to do that on the web page.

Log in problem with VPhot

This happens to me frequently.  I think it has something to do with security settings in my Mac or in Firefox.  When this happen I go to the AAVSO home page and log in with the VPhot link in the Tools and Observer Resources box.  This always works for me and doesn't require a log out/log in cycle.
