The recurrent nova U Sco has been reported to be in outburst (M.Moriyama (Nagasaki, Japan): 2022 Jun. 06.56582 UT, <17.3 unfiltered; Jun 06.56582 UT, 11.4 unfiltered). This report has not been confirmed by other observers. However, because the outbursts of U Sco are so very short, there is no time to be lost, thus this post now, before confirmation. Please confirm, and if confirmed carry out multicolor photometry; visual observations are also welcome. Charts and comparison stars are available from the AAVSO Variable Star Plotter (VSP). Report your observations to the AAVSO International Database as soon as possible.

Many thanks and good observing,

Elizabeth O. Waagen, AAVSO HQ
