I thought we would be able to embed images in the new format (eg, light curves). Is that possible? I see we can link to an image but that means we must have a means to publish it independently.
In order to add an image to your post, click "File attachments" (found below the comment window and above the save/preview buttons), click "Browse," find the file you'd like to upload, and click "Attach". Once it is uploaded, there will be two checkboxes - make sure "Delete" is not checked and "List" is, and then it will show up as an attachment in your post!
If you would like to put the picture directly in your post, do those same steps, and then copy the URL found underneath your picture description (it should say something like http://www.aavso.org/sites/default/files/YOURIMAGENAME.jpg). Go back to the comment box and click on the icon that looks like a house with a sun (top row, 6th from the end, it says "Image" if you hover over it). A dialog box will come up, and you just paste the URL on the line where it says "URL", and then click "OK". Then your image will show up in your post!
At the moment, the resize option on the pictures does not actually work for people who are not site administrators. In order to enable that, we would have to enable other style options as well that could make it much more difficult for people to read the forums if people use them. The best option right now would be for you to resize the file that you have saved to your computer, and then re-upload it.
Thank you for being patient with us while we work out these kinds of issues with the forums!

Thanks, Lauren, but now I can't make it fit. I played with the properties dialog, set the dimensions to 120x66 but the image still shows up too large for the space. (The post is at <http://www.aavso.org/ci-uma-outburst-and-new-cv-sequences-uma#comment-1…;)
