If I look at the last 3000 days light curve for Y UMA, it seems like the variability is "fading out". Is this a real effect, or are there simply not enough observations?
If you examine its long term behavior, I think you'll see its always a bit erratic. I don't think this is an example of a star whose amplitude is damping down necessarily.
