I've known Brian Kloppenborg for over a decade, starting with his role on the Citizen Sky/epsilon Aurigae project. He has been a major contributor to APASS, with his wonderful technical skills. I've talked with him a lot about possible projects and funding opportunities for the AAVSO. I can't think of anyone that is a better fit for the organization. The Search Committee and Board have done an excellent job of finding a leader that will make the AAVSO both a better organization for its members, as well as providing important support for the professional community. I look forward to seeing Brian at the Fall meeting!
