I uploaded a image of Z CAM and it uploaded fine and plate solved etc.  When I go to open the image to do photometry, all I get is a black image.  I have not changed my workflow, not sure what is going on.  Anybody have any suggestions.

Tnx,

Mike

VPhot error reporting

Hi Mike,

Server seems to be okay.

When reporting a problem please include:
- your obscode
- exact time you saw the error.
- name of the file you uploaded.

With out enough information to examine the logs I cannot investigate a problem.

Check some headers

Mike:

Check a few headers. Are BSCALE, BZERO and BITPIX the same as your other images?

Share an image in vphot, 1 successful and 1 failed, to MZK and SGEO.

Some imaging software 'stretches' the histogram of the images differently and vphot might yield a completely black or white image.

Hi Ken and George,

I…

Hi Ken and George,

I uploaded a older image that I had processed in VPHOT and everything was fine.  I then compared my fits headers of the older image with the one I was having problem with last nite.  The new image I had saved as 32 bit while the older one i had saved as 16 bit.  I resaved the image from last nite as 16 bit, and now everything seems to work just fine.  I will make sure in any future messages to include the information that you requested.

Thanks for the replies,

As of 9AM EDT I was successfully working in VPhot. No problems.

At 10:25AM EDT I can no longer log into VPhot. I receive error " You must be a current member, with an obscode and logged in. See below."

- I went to my account: it shows me as being logged in.

- My Observers Code is BPEC
