I tried upload images taken with a Samyang 135 mm lens and a Canon Rebel T7 which has an APC-S sized CMOS sensor. When I uploaded it to VPHOT to have it plate-solved, I received the following error message
The image field is so big that we reached the limit of stars from the Guide Star Catalog.
Now, I do know some people do bright star photometry with a DSLR and relatively low-powered telephoto lens. Is there any workaround for this other than buying a new telephoto lens?
I forgot to mention the FOV for the image was 10 x 6.66 deg at least according to nova.astrometry.net
