Announcement: New Applications
We are excited to announce the launch of our new applications! We're opening up early access to our new applications for searching, downloading, and submitting photometric observations. You can now access these applications through these links:
We ask for your feedback in order to help us improve these applications. Please send feedback for the applications above to feedback@aavso.org. Note: please avoid duplicating submissions across the two submit applications.
You can see the queue of images waiting to be processed in VPhot by going to Upload/View Server Processor Queue. Yes, there can be over a thousand files in the queue; welcome to the era of the time series! But most observers submitting big batches of files have them plate solved ahead of time. This takes a big load off of VPhot and those images usually take only 5-10seconds each.
Today I see that over 2000 files have been processed. And the queue is now caught up.
If there are problems that appear out-of-the-ordinary, feel free to contact me directly at VPhot@GASilvis.net.
Clarification on my previous post...
The queue seems to be very long this morning in the uploading of images to VPhot.
I uploaded three images early this morning and they still have not appeared in my account .
In the past my images images appeared in my account within minutes.
Maybe I am being impatient ???
