Fellow LPV Lovers,
John Percy wrote a paper about V725 Sgr which will appear in the next volume of the JAAVSO.
This is an interesting star which has dramatically changed its behavior over the past century.
In the 1920s, it was classified as a Cepheid with 12 day period. Its period has steady increased to where now it is a semi-regular yellow-supergiant (SRd) with a ~80 day period and possibly longer secondary periods.
AAVSO observations over the past several years have been very sparse.
We need to monitor this star!
It has a DEC of -36 degrees, so if your far enough south to observer this star, please add it to your program.
Clear Skies,
Rich Roberts (RRIA)
