I took a spectrum of this star last night. It's very bright for an old nova.

Dr. Fred Walter, Principal Investigator for this campaign on V1280 Sco (AAVSO Alert Notice 634), posted a very interesting update in the campaign's other forum (Campaigns and Observation Reports) on June 29.
Please be sure to read how the data you have provided are playing an important ongoing role in studying this nova that is behaving atypically - and how future observations are very important.
Dr. Walter says to contact him if you see behavior that may indicate something interesting is happening - please use the forum to reach him.
