Background/Interesting Fact
Retired mechanical technician from the Canadian Navy. Amateur astronomer since 10 year old. I believe I was a member of the AAVSO in early 1980 for one year. I'm a member of the RASC Victoria center. When I was in Victoria, I was the telescope operator for the 1.8m Plaskett telescope for the public outreach (2013-2019). Did assist a few time professional researcher taking images with the Plaskett on their behalf. I retired last year from the Navy and now relocated in the small town of Saint-Anaclet in Quebec. I built a personal observatory in my backyard with Paramount MX+, Celestron 14Edge HD and more.I prefer taking images to do science. I'm still involve with double stars but always wanted to start photometry and send the data to the AAVSO.
