I am completing a data analysis projection applying fourier and/or wavelet techniques to astronomical data. I am not well versed in astronomy or astrophysics and I am hoping someone might have a suggestion about what kind of star (one in particular, or a collection of types) might be interesting to analyze with these techniques. In particular, I am hoping to use wavelets to denoise data and then apply fourier analysis to find a star's periodicity. Or I might use only wavelets to find a period.
Please help!
Thank you,
Megan
