Friends,
One of our favorite dwarf novae, SS Cygni, is being observed with the TESS satellite and will be in the satellite's field for the next couple of months. We have issued a campaign for ground-based monitoring both photometric and spectroscopic - it can be found here:
https://www.aavso.org/aavso-alert-notice-673
Please consider adding SS Cyg to your spectroscopic monitoring program. It is quite bright (~12 in quiescence now) and it is an excellent northern hemisphere target. All resolutions are welcome; please focus around the H-alpha line at 6564A
Thank you in advance for your attention to this request.
Best wishes - clear skies,
Stella.
