Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone here uses a PlaneWave CDK17 optical tube and if so, what spectrograph they use.  I asked this on another spectroscopy forum and got some great advice.   But no one who answered actually uses this telescope.   Hoping someone with personal experience can give me some pointers.  It will be used in a semi-urban environment at an elevation of only 77m, with average 3-4 arc-sec seeing.

Thanks!
Roger

I use a PlaneWave CDK17 for Spectroscopy with a StarAnalyser_200

The StarAnalyser_200 is designed to fit into a filter wheel , I use a fingerLakes CFW5-7. The StarAnalyser_200 has a lower profile and can be used with a mounting plate google - star-analyser-mounting-plate

The StarAnalyser_200 is designed to work with longer focal length instruments like the CDK17.

I strongly recommend the StarAnalyser_200 route initially, there is a lot of science to wrap one's head around, which applicable to the StarAnalyser_200.

Best of luck.
