SpecDB: new equipment doesn't show up

Hello,

I'd like to upload my spectra taken with a NEW setup (e.g. other grating of my LHires III, the new name is e.g.: "30cmLH150_35u428exm").

I've successfully added and saved the new equipment here: https://www.aavso.org/apps/site_equip/ , but it won't show up in "Equipment used" dropdown list (https://www.aavso.org/apps/avspec/submit) hence upload is not possible. (Uploading with the old setup still worked well.)

I have created such a new eqipment 2 weeks ago.

Is there a special rule e.g. shooting a validation star first, or waiting for an approval?

Hello Peter,

In order for your equipment to be available in AVSpec it must have "Spec" listed as the Observing Type. Currently yours is listed as "CCD". This is necessary as the required fields are dependent on the observing type chosen. If you change the observing type for your equipment (and fill any required fields if they have not been) then it should show up.
