Announcement: New Applications
We are excited to announce the launch of our new applications! We're opening up early access to our new applications for searching, downloading, and submitting photometric observations. You can now access these applications through these links:
We ask for your feedback in order to help us improve these applications. Please send feedback for the applications above to feedback@aavso.org. Note: please avoid duplicating submissions across the two submit applications.

Hello !!
Several observers have found that Seqplot is not working and is very useful to us, so we would appreciate if the problem that keeps it inactive is fixed.
I have just had this problem too (I am beta testing the new version of seqplot) and thought it was a problem with ver.5 - looks like it isn't, after all. Maybe you could let us (the sequence team) know when the issue is solved, cheers.
The SeqPlot application has be going through a growth spurt as we add functionality for the Sequence Team.
Keep in mind that the tool is primarily for the Sequence Team, though others are welcome to use it.
The latest version is 5.12 and is available at https://www.aavso.org/seqplot where you can download the seqplot5.jnlp . Clicking on this file will always bring down the latest version of the application to your machine. Expect further changes as 5.20 is almost ready.
The additions involve making Sloan data from APASS available via an extended output file. You will find that SeqPlot now outputs several versions of the output. Files ending in *_1 are the old format. *_3 and maybe *_2 will be extended formats with the Sloan data.
The road of change is often bumpy. If you have a problem with the new application email me, gsilvis@aavso.org, with a complete description of the problem so I can address the issues.
Seqplot is a Java WebStart application. It is run either by downloading the seqplot5.jnlp file or the complete code in the form of .jar files.
When you click on the .jnlp file java will go to the server and make sure you have the latest version.
Having the .jar files fixes the version that you have available. The downloading of the .jars is deprecated, especially for now as the code is in flux. The webpage no longer suggests that you can download the jar files.
Keep an eye on this forum to know what is the version you should be using. If you are not seeing it when you click the .jnlp try re-downloading the jnlp from the webpage.
If you are having problems or really need to have the jar files, please contact me at gsilvis@aavso.org
Thank you for your report Mario.
We are looking into it.
Best wishes,
Sara
Thank you very much Sara !!

Instructions on…
George,
Instructions on SEQPLOT page say that clicking the box gives you the option to run or download SEQPLOT.
When I click the box, I am only presented the option of downloading...

Peter:
Just download and see what happens. I believe you will save the web version.
Then we will deal with the wording of the instructions.
