My first two pics uploaded in Vphot but when I open them in Vphot, they are just black.

Although I can see no stars, measuring is possible!

So only no stars are visible.  When I open these pics in for example Astrometrica, they work...they show stars.

So don't know what the problem is.

Kind regards

Search VPhot black image

You might try searching AAVSO.org for “vphot black image”.  A few things can cause that.  One issue is VPhot’ s automatic contract adjustment does not work and you need to adjust it yourself.

Wim:

Open your image and then look under Tools>Image display. On the histogram, you can adjust the black and white levels to make the image visible. Try it out. Learn how to do this!
