As part of the preparation of the 81st Name-list of Variable Stars, GCVS names are announced for 13 galactic variable stars of rare types (mostly Novae) discovered in 2013-2015.
The paper also provides some insight in the difficulties encountered in the naming process the last few years.

Recent novae or nova candidates still unnamed

It's interesting to check the recent novae to see if some has been omitted when assinging names.

There are several VVV, OGLE and WISE novae that didn't receive GCVS designations because it seems that the designations are only given upon CBAT request.

There are two that were confirmed and are still unnamed:

PNV J09410000-5759540 Car  2012 - N:. Never confirmed spectroscopically.

Nova Cen 2008 No. 2 Cen 2008 - N. The small amplitude might explain it was omitted. Some classify it as a V Sge star.

And this one was omitted without a reason:

Nova Cen 2012 No. 2 Cen 2012 - NA. This one exploded between V1368 Cen and V1369 Cen.

Cheers,
Sebastian
