Not sure where this one goes, or whether folks consider it relevant, but: a nice summary of photometry and spectroscopy of this unique(?) variable appeared recently on astro-ph from a Nordic group:

V838 Mon: A slow waking up of Sleeping Beauty?
Along with 13 years of visible and near-IR photometry plus spectra, there is also an independent assessment of the comparison stars in the field from new UBVRI data. The dataset is the sort of thing that ought to be getting added to AID.
