The AAVSO has joined Astronomers Without Borders to support them during their GAM (Global Astronomy Month) activities.
Astronomers Without Borders is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the world together to share our passion of astronomy and the wonders of the Universe.
They tell us about themselves:
"In the process of looking outward together, we learn about each other and create lasting bonds regardless of country or culture.
It is this bond between people that AWB hopes to foster through astronomy programs, the arts, and through sharing of experiences."
April is the Global Astronomy Month and AWB has launched several observing projects.
One of them is Variable Star Observing.
The AAVSO has helped them with it and we encourage our new observers and people everywhere to join this initiative.
