Light Curve of the Week

Mon, 01/14/2013 - 18:29

Hello everyone,

I'd like to use this thread to invite submission for the AAVSO website's "Light Curve Of The Week" feature that updates every Monday at 08:00 eastern time.  LCOTW is the small light curve on the left-hand side of the AAVSO front page, and includes both the thumbnail light curve and a page with deeper explanation and a larger light curve.  The LCOTW has been a labor of love for me since before the new website launched, and we're now nearly up to 100 different articles -- while we've reused a few, most weeks since the launch in 2010 have had a unique Light Curve.  This feature has been fun to write, but it can be challenging to keep up with, which is why I'm now inviting community participation.

If you'd like to make suggestions for future LCOTW candidates, feel free to post them in this thread.  If you can suggest a specific section of the light curve that looks really interesting, feel free to include that as a suggestion as well.  If you'd rather make a private suggestion -- or if you'd like to make a suggestion and write the accompanying text (with credit!) -- please feel free to message me through the website, or simply email matthewt@aavso.org.

We're down to two fresh articles waiting to be published, so please suggest early and often!

Clear skies,

Matthew
