Well, I don't know if my method meets AAVSO's standards as I didn't know they had them and I don't know where to look for them. :-) But I'd be happy to explain the method I've been using for the past year which has proven to be very repeatable and quick and easy to use. It involves two inexpensive floodlights, some milk plastic, model airplane plywood and a few other bits and bobs. If you'd like more info I can put it together and supply it.
