Hello all,

In recent months, I have been getting occasional emails from people having trouble launching VStar, SunEntry, and other Java Web Start apps - particularly from those who have just started using a Windows 10 computer. I know that it is possible to launch a JNLP file in Windows 10 because many people have done it. However for some reason, I think that it could be a bit tricky to set up initially.

In an effort to help people over this hurdle, I have set up a webpage that explains Java Web Start and offers suggestions for launching the apps: https://www.aavso.org/hints-using-java-web-start-apps

If anyone has further suggestions, instructions, ideas, or useful links to add, please let me know.
