Hello,
I am no longer an active AAVSO observer, but I have posted some very basic open source software on the internet that may be of interest to AAVSO members and observers. One is a simple Julian Date Calculator and the other is an Eyepiece Magnification Calculator. I've had them posted on my personal website for sometime and will keep them online until my website subscription expires.
Both programs were written in Java, using NetBeans IDE. They require a minimum of JRE 8 to run. They should run on any OS with the Java plugin installed. I have included the NetBeans project files and those who are interested can download and adapt the programs to their liking.
I was once part of the AAVSO Comparison Star Database Working Group and during that time, I developed software skills that I use for my own personal projects. I thought that I would share some of the fruits of my labors with AAVSO members and observers.
