I have a newly generated 1 degree D chart (14872ACFT) of W Lyr to limiting magnitude 13.0 that gives comps: 89, 92, 100, 100, 104, 106, 111, 122 and 128. The gap on my chart between 111 and 122 prompted me to look at another observer's AAVSO chart of W Lyr.
When I checked that other observer's 2015 AAVSO chart (13399cea), it had the same field of view (1 degree) as my chart. However, I noticed that it has many more comparisons brighter than magnitude 13.0 than my chart has, including a 112, 115 and a 116.
Is there is a way to get these 'extra' comp stars on WebObs, as they would be very useful to fill the gap. I wonder why the other observer's chart has them and why one does not have them. I also have a older chart from 2014 that does not include these extra stars. Might the extra comps have been added and then removed rececently?
Is this a 'Chart Error' or intentional?

I just went on line and got a D chart, 1 degree, W Lyr, 14872ACPZ and got 111, 122, 104, 92, 100, 106, 89 and some fainter comps. I got the same 111 ro 122 gap as you.
I selected a "Standards Chart" at the bottom of the page, and go no sequence values. I could not duplicate your friends plot. Is it an old one?

Yes there is. http//www.aavso.org/chet to report chart errors and issues. The chart team is very responsive.

I entered all three chart numbers noted by both of you (John & Gary) and the 112,115 & 116 comps appear in all three cases; there is no noted gap as previously suggested.
A mystery wrapped in an enigma, perhaps or maybe something simpler... hummmmm

Actually when I look at your 14872ACFT chart it looks like an old chart that has duplicate 115 and 116 comps. But when I create a new chart, the 111-122 gap appears. The sequence was last updated in 2012. I'm going to enter your post as a CHET. Something very strange is going on here. Fortunately I did the 2012 update and have a record of exactly what was done at that time.
I found the 13399cea chart on WebObs, when I searched for observations by other observers since 1st May 2015. I don't know if the copyright symbol and date may be for the current generated date or the orginal date (I suspect it's the former).

But the 13399cea chart is still incorrect. It fills the gap, but also includes duplicates. Attached is the way the chart is supposed to look. Corrections will be made as soon as access to the database is restored.
