This is probably a known issue. I had some files named with the text (Nova Watch) embedded in the name. I didn't see where there was a restriction against using parenthesis in the name but it appears as thought there is. The files were loaded into VPHOT and just passed through it. No inidication of an error was provided and no entry in the processing log appeared for the files. As soon as I removed the "(....)" text the files processed normally.
I had this with file names. It wouldn’t accept brackets or commas from my ASTAP calibrated files. There may be others. Perhaps a list of restricted characters might be useful.
