Hello,
V442 And Be star is showing signs of outburst at the present moment. I have been observing it since june and I plotted the evolution on a graph on my blog:
https://observatoire-belle-etoile.blogspot.com/2018/08/v442-and-in-outburst-again.html
I invite anyone with R>5000 spectrograph to monitor it as it does change every night (within the hour actually) at the present moment. See also spectra in BeSS database as other people are now following it as well.
Cordialement,
Olivier
Hello,
I added some 3D graphs and specrograms on my blog as well as the MatLab code (specific to my spectra) to make such graphs for those interested.

Hello,
I took all spectra from BeSS since june and after resampling/cropping them and removing telluric lines, I updated my 3D graphs:

Olivier,
I'm fascinated by your 3-D plots, but sadly, I only have access to a very low-resolution diffraction grating.
Is there any need for photometric follow-up?

Hello Brad,
A long term photometry follow up would be nice - I couldn't actually fin such data on AAVSO web site but I'm not specialized there. Otherwise, it would be very interesting to get some monitoring but at high frequence, like 30sec exposures and several weeks monitoring with millimag accuracy, in order to analyse frequencies and look for non radial pulsations mode - and correlate those to spectra we acquire. I have read such analysis on other stars, but couldn't find data on V442 And. for exemple, are there any KELT or equivalent data on V442 And that are available to amateurs?
Cordialement,
Olivier
