Hi David,
I am using the Java web start version of VStar but can't open ASAS text files or TESS FITS files. It's been a while since I used VStar so it may just be operator error, but I think I'm doing things correctly. My Java version is up to date and I downloaded the latest Java web start, but I'm using an old Win7 laptop. After selecting an ASAS or TESS data file I get the following error:
access denied ("java.lang.RunTimePermission" "accessDeclaredMembers")
Any help would be appreciated. I can Cheers,

Indeed, this bug slipped through testing for 2.21.3.
The problem is being worked on and going through the code, test, review cycle:

In the meantime, the simplest approach is to avoid WebStart.
