Aru Bhoop holds a Computer Science degree from Clemson University and is pursuing a Master's in Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, he worked at several start-ups, where he helped build core shipping and logistics software. Since joining AAVSO in 2023, he has served as our primary software developer, maintaining the website and developing key applications including the Observing Campaigns platform, Photometry Search tool, and Global Data Search application. Outside of work, Aru composes piano music, reads non-fiction, and explores Philadelphia. He aims to combine his interests in philosophy and artificial intelligence with astronomy to better understand our place in the cosmos. |
