If you have a Stanford SuperSID monitor setup, you'll find this of interest.
I've created an application that makes it easy to create AAVSO SID reports from the csv files that sidmonitor.exe spits out daily on your hard drive. With SDG, the SIDdatagrabber, you can open these files in graphical format, zoom in on suspected events and click on the graph to grab the start, max and end times. Then you edit the importance and definition fields and add E, D or U modifiers to the times. Click "add to report" and your data is put into the report file. Come the end of the month you're ready to send your files to Rodney.
This is a windows application, but should run fine in Wine for MAC or Linux users. It is available on GitHub where you can download a zip of the app and source code. Or if you want just the application click here, There is a sample data file here if you wish to try it out.
Download the app, read the Help section and give it a try.
If you see any problems or have a questions or suggestions for improvment, please do contact me either in the forum or directly at A141@GASilvis.net
If your log files are in a slightly different format than those from the Stanford program, I'd be willing to modify the application so it could work for you too.
Cheers,
George
Thanks George,
This is a great application for those with the SuperSID radio. It puts all your SID Events in the correct format for the Solar Bulletin.
Thanks for doing this!
Rodney
Hello George,
The github link for the zip of the app and source code you posted earlier seems to be "garbled" to me. I created a new one that works:

Thanks for writing the app etc.!
Cheers,

The SID data grabber tool has joined the AAVSO tool suite. You see it at http://www.aavso.org/sid-data-grabber
Also look for us in Muncie!
George
Thanks very much for creating this SID data grabber app, George! It's a great tool for enabling more science to be done using the same data. Makes me wish I had room for a SID set-up in my apartment...
Good observing,
Elizabeth (WEO)
