Hello everyone,
Margarita Karovska (Harvard-Smithsonian CfA) has noticed a decline in the visual light curve of CH Cyg over the past few weeks, but we don't currently have B and V photometry for calibration. A decline in B-band is believed to be a signature of jet ejection by the accretor in this system, and so a decline in broadband visual may indicate something is happening. B and V photometry would be great, moreso because CH Cyg is a tough target right now (airmass near 2 by evening astronomical twilight). Please refer to Special Notice #320 for details.
Happy Holidays & clear skies to everyone,
Matthew
