This is probably as good as place as any to mention that the active galaxy usually called B2 1308+326 has been very bright in recent weeks. Observation worldwide has shown unprecedented brightness in the R band, including some reported to the AID. See the report by Tom Balonek and his students for some context:

A notional AAVSO chart shows no relevant comp stars. The recommendation would be use the following stars and Rc magnitudes:

The following Ic mean magnitudes were obtained at Burleith Observatory, Washington, DC (0.32-m PlaneWave CDK, STL1001e CCD, Astrodon Cousins I filter, 180-sec exposures).
