TCP J18111965-2822416 was discovered by Tadashi Kojima on July 22.

It is in Sagittarius, at 18 11 19.65 -28 22 41.6 (J2000.0), according to the original discovery report.

It is showing a linear slow brightening and ASAS-SN shows it rising from 16 to 14.6 in the g band.

Since the field is crowded we don't know exactly what star is showing variability, and thus we don't know the real amplitude of the event and we can't correct the magnitudes for light contamination.

It might be a microlens or a nova outburst.

Astrometry and photometry are strongly encouraged.

I will ask for a sequence so you can reduce your data as soon as possible.

Best wishes,
Sebastian

It was a microlensing event

Tadashi Kojima has reported that the OGLE team classified this object as a microlensing event so the VSX entry has been updated accordingly.
Thanks to all who submitted data and especially to Andrew Pearce, who helped with the identification.

Cheers,
Sebastian
