Dear friends,
This message was sent to some Brazilian astronomers and I want to share it with others friends.
"Collaborative Spectroscopic Observations for the Detection of Molecules in Classical Novae"
Authors: H. Kawakita and A. Arai
Goals: "Detection of molecules (CN and C2) in novae in their early phase of nova explosions, and to estimate isotopic ratios of 14N/15N and 12C/13C in some novae using our original data."
Methods: "Target-of-Opportunity (ToO) and monitoring Observations of novae from just after their discoveries (a few candidates per year). We trigger new ToO observations when we
received discovery reports from TOCP, Japanese nova-hunters, CBET or ATel. If we detected CN or C2 in optical spectra of novae, we estimate 14N/15N and 12C/13C by fitting with model spectra. If we didn’t detect any molecules, we try to use for other science of novae."

Dear colleagues, as the editor of the magazine "Spectrum-Astrospectroscopy for Amateurs" I am very interested to publish your collaboration project in that magazin (http://astrospectroscopy.de/magazine.html) Would you give me the permission, to use this abstract? It would be really nice to hear again from you.
Best wishes, Ernst Pollmann

Hi Ernst,
I suggest to contact Hideyo Kawakita and Akira Arai, but i haven't their e-mails.
