One of the compstars on the chart 12616GII is HIP101316 or 000-BCL-749. According VSX is this a SR and variable between 7.05 - 7.3. Why is this used as a compstar?
Hip 101316 is the comparison marked '71' to the SE of the Nova. I am wondering has any recent V photometry been done on it.
I did use it on my last visual estimate. There is another comparison '71' to the NE of the nova can can be used instead.

I've seen always faint... Mv:72/73. Do not use
000-BCL-749, the variable comp star you refer to has been removed as a como star.
