A new version of TG (V6.9a) has been released.  Full information is available at www.aavso.org/tg

The TG program is designed to greatly simplify the creation of transformation coefficients.  It's use, especially if  VPhot is used to identify reference stars in any AAVSO standards field, reduces the effort to generate transforms to less than a half hour.

This release corrects the recent problem that prevented TG V6.8 from running and caused a "Can Not Access the Website" error message.  It also has a new capability to generate single filter transforms.

At the same time, two other overall system enhancements have been made.

First, a new process, developed by George Silvis, speeds up the creation of the instrument magnitude files used by TG when using VPhot.  Section 3.4.3 of the updated TG Users Guide provides detailed instructions.

Second, a new installation option for TG is now available on Windows.  Instead of requiring users to download the Anaconda Python Suite and configuring it to run TG, a user may now download a single file for execution.  This is much simpler to install.  The downside its that it takes up to 30 seconds to start the program as the computer creates the needed Python execution environment. Both installation options are available.

The TG webpage has been updated with all required information.

Thanks to Ken Menzies, George Silvis, Elizabeth Waagen, and Ed Wiley for their involvement creating and testing this release.
