I am presently unable to retrieve JAAVSO material. When logged in, the download page tells me to "Consider Joining" and does not let me download.

Is this problem still happening to you?
Another member and I both just tried downloading the most recent Journal and it appears to be working. Also your membership status appears to be in good order.
Which link are you actually using?

I have had the same problem when trying to download from the announcement of the new issue. But all is OK if I go via the About Us, Publications, JAAVSO route.

I just succeeded. As before, I went through https://www.aavso.org/apps/jaavso/ (on the home page) and selected Most Recent Volume.
I'm afraid I can't explain that. If it happens again try refreshing your browser and see if it persists. For some unkonwn reason it was acting as if you weren't logged in.
