If you would like to contact a forum user privately, just follow these steps:
-Click on their username. This is in blue, to the left of their forum post and above their picture.
-Click on the "Contact" tab on their user profile.
-Type your subject and message into the relative spaces, and then click "Send e-mail". This will send your message to the email address connected to the other user's web account. The other user will be given your email address once you send the comment, so you may continue the exchange privately and directly via email!
Note: If you receive an email from a website user, you may choose not to respond. If you do not respond, the other user will not learn your email address. Please contact the AAVSO if you ever receive a spam message via email through the AAVSO website so we can disable the spammer's web account.
