What other opportunities for amatures in visual Solar observations beyond sunspots?

What to see

Hi David!

If you feel you want a challenge, go to the Astronomical League's website and look up the Sunspotters Observing Program: https://www.astroleague.org/al/obsclubs/sunspot/sunsptcl.html

You can start looking for faculae and various subtle affects with sunspots.

If you get the bug really bad you can always move to Hydrogen alpha observing as well.
