Hi,

ASASSN-13bf (RA 23:06:12.89 -09:42:33.3) had an outburst in july 2013 at 14.7V Looking at this position there is a bright (~16.9) star. Is this the dwarf nova or is the real Dn hidden behind the bright star?

Can someone sort this out?

Thanks,

Eddy

Flare star

Hi Eddy,

It's a fairly red object, so more likely a flare star, not a dwarf nova.
