Acknowledgement declaration

Hello everyone!

Recently I started to process data with VStar, both for private use and for collaborative use in citizen science projects (for example, through the Zooniverse web portal).

What kind of acknowledgment declaration I have to indicate to publish an article on a discussion forum, regarding results obtained with VStar? I only found this: "VStar is the creation of lead developer David Benn with help from the VStar Team". It's enough?

I should add this to the user manual.

Well, I'm still a beginner

Well, I'm still a beginner but very interested with phase curve mathematical modelling (and possible correlation with physical properties of a variable star); statistical evaluation of the raw data (p-value, ANOVA statistics, and so on) and all features about time-frequency analysis.

I would like to get information about model metrics I'm using, through VStar, but I can't see them through any menu in this version and if I remember correctly, on user manual there is some explanation about this features.

Astronomy is my passion from early age, so when I can spend a little time, my interests are about projects for citizen science. Recently I've started some collaboration as volunteer on Zooniverse portal, about Kepler missions (planetary transit, so analysis of lightcurve by sight), and from some days I'm classifing phase plots for "SuperWASP Variable Stars" (maybe doing analysis with VStar).

I have planned to prepare an observative program, about some variable stars listed into the LPV / SPP AAVSO database: this is a great dream for me! I would love to collect some data with the DSLR method, and share them to the AAVSO: I hope to realize this idea as soon as possible.

So, I have to thank you for the great effort you do in developping this wonderful tool.
