As promised, the spreadsheet of EA stars in low galactic latitudes is available. There are two worksheets - one containing all 2495 stars and the other derived from a macro I penned which only lists those stars with amplitudes above 0.9m.

Next step will be to make that smaller sample even smaller by removing those stars which are definitely EA, leaving a 'hot list' of dubious, or little-studied, objects. Just an idea though!

The spreadsheet is Excel 97, which I know is practically antediluvian now, but I assume that later versions can open it.

spreadsheet update

John Greaves has put the stars in the spreadsheet through various filtration methods and it appears that there is 1 likely candidate and 2 less likely ones (based on infrared excess). All of them are faint, and may be better suited to CCD observation.

The likely one is MN Ser, and the less-likely ones CK and GV Mon. John's list does not include stars South of -20°. Maybe a look among those stars using perhaps ASAS would be an idea.
