Dear colleagues,

at  http://astrospectroscopy.de/media/files/delsco_overview.pdf

you can find a total overview of the delta Sco pro-am monitoring from July 2000 to May 2015

Very nice report

This is a very nice report on long-term variations of delta Sco - wow, 15 years of daya! I particularly like the very tight correlation of Ha/HeI. What is the resolution of your spectra? delta Sco is a suspected spectroscopic binary, so I wonder if you could see the two components. Also, does the line profile of Ha around 2453500 have multiple components?

Thanks for sharing!

Best wishes - clear skies,

Stella.

Spectral resolution, binary nature and line profile

Hi Stella,
Since very different spectrograph have been used, the spectral resolution is between 3000 to 20000.
The binary nature of delta Sco was first reported by R. T. A. Innes 1901  in MNRAS, 61, 414.
The appearance of the emission lines, not only Halpha but the He6678 too (for example), did change fairly dramatically sometimes in a very complex manner.
